To be honest, I was not interested in Korean food until I ate this spicy pork bone soup, which made me so surprised! I couldn’t stop to order it every week. The soup is spicy enough for me, and the meat is pretty delicious. They also give me a free rice and some side dishes. In my opinion, it worths the price and it would be a good choice when you are having difficulty to decide what you want to eat.
The previous owners sold the restaurant to non Koreans. The food is not authentic Korean food anymore. The taste is horrible and they jacked up the price to make it even worse. I will never order from there again and it’s sad cuz Iv actually experienced authentic Korean food for so many years of my life. Shame on them🙄
The food is so tasty that i like it very much, especially the fried pork belly and seafood pancakes.
very disappointed. I wont talk about how dirty it was or how good or bad service it was. very disappointed about food quality and price. yes this restaurant was my favorite place for pork soup when Koreans owned. I called in to place an order of 2 pork soups. When I called Chinese lady answered a phone and I could recognize it right away because of her accent which is not a problem at all but I had doubt that Chinese people in korean restaurant?? and when I was there for pick up everyone was Chinese. since then I started worry about my food. ok nevertheless I picked up my foods and had few spoons and I threw them out. couldn’t eat at all. first of all they are not understanding food properly. Ingredients were similar (doubting that they received a recipe when they were taking over business) but 1. taste of food was terrible. I bet they don’t know what they are making at all 2. quantity of quality of food. I do understand price of foods and ingredients went up due to covid but it doesn’t mean they can put just few slices of pork when they increased a price. If you are keeping same concept of restaurant and food please keep the same quality and effort. I do hope that all Winnipegers can experience a good korean food.
Miss this restaurant very much. I haven’t been there since the pandemic occurred. I couldn’t wait & ordered three beef Bibimbap for lunch. When I approached, I didn’t hear the sweet sound “un yung hai sei yor “ from the Korean lady. They used to open 4 - 5 days a week, but now open round the week. May be she was off today. After taking the meals and opened them at home, found that the egg was not sunshine. Sliced pan-fry egg instead of it. Rice was too too soft and soaked with excess sauce & oil, even I could pour the oil out by tilting the bowl. I don’t know how to describe, but taste was different. This is my favourite Korean restaurant in the past. The yummy cubed potato was one of their appetizers together with meal. But not included in the meals today. I’m very disappointed. I didn’t want to waste food but threw them away in the halfway. It’s impossible to eat such greasy things.
