Really like their chop chop bowl. Sushi were good too but not the best. I guess it worth the price though
I often order their chicken teriyaki with cauliflower rice or with vegetables (no rice), with two scoops of sauce. I would not go here for authentic Japanese food, but it tastes delicious for a quick bite to eat from a Canadian-Japanese fast-food chain. The staff at this location are always in a great mood and helpful, and seem to really enjoy their jobs.
Maybe I had higher expectations, but the sushi is not good. At all. It's "grocery store sushi", but I've had way better from many grocery stores. I could not even finish my rolls. Definitely not worth the price. I can sum it up in one word: yuck. The only positive was that the girl behind the counter was very nice. I will not return.
The teriyaki chicken was good, but I would not recommend the tempura shrimp. It was the smallest tempura shrimp I have ever ordered and instead of it being a light crispy tempura batter, it turned out very hard and crunchy. And the shrimp itself was very overdone, it was like they forgot it in the fryer for too long. I would have gone back to get my money back for it, but we were on our way across the city and already too far from the location.
Wish I could rate the food. Never got that far. Stood at the the till for 15 mins and never even got a hello. There were so many skip the dishes orders coming in I was completely ignored. Well I'm happy to say I gave Edo another shot. Service was very pleasant and they acknowledged me as soon as I walked in the door. Took a little time for the food to get prepared, but so be it. Portion size and taste were both more than adequate. I will definitely be back to try some more menu items.
